New partnership for In Professional Development and the 30% Club

Written by In Professional Development | 07 January 2020

The 30% Club was established in 2010, by Dame Helena Morrissey, with the aim of building gender balanced boards within organisations. It has since expanded its focus to the executive pipeline and to increasing the number of women in senior leadership roles.

The partnership will see our Executive Mini MBA Accelerator Programme delivered as a scholarship opportunity to connections of the 30% Club.

Aligned with our own ethos, the 30% Club believes that diversity within senior roles not only encourages better leadership and governance, but also contributes to better all-round board performance, and ultimately increased corporate performance for both companies and their shareholders. Part of its mission is to help women develop their leadership and management skills so they can advance to more senior roles. The 30% Club runs several targeted initiatives that are specifically focused on enhancing the skills and knowledge of women at all levels.

Our Executive Mini MBA Accelerator Programme will present scholarship opportunities to professionals who are looking to develop their business knowledge and skills. Designed to enhance career prospects and provide integrated knowledge of the core disciplines of management, leadership, organisation, and relationships at work. Delegates have the option to attend the course on an accredited basis and will receive a PGCert in Business Administration (WBIS) from the University of Chester, upon completion.

INPD Director, Jon Palmer said: “We are very excited to be working with the 30% Club to help deliver leadership and management opportunities with the aim of driving greater diversity at senior and board levels.

We are proud to offer this scholarship opportunity to enthusiastic female professionals, who are looking to enhance their career through learning. Attendees will learn about the key topics of a full MBA Programme such as leadership, strategy, marketing, finance and managing excellence in processes and projects over a condensed period of just 5 days.”

Our head of operations, Michela Sumner, recently attended the Executive Mini MBA Programme, she commented on her experience, “As the Head of Operations at In Professional Development it was in my best interest to take time away from my daily role and focus on developing my leadership knowledge and skills – I found the whole experience to be very enlightening.

The programme helped strengthen my knowledge around all areas of business and I can now speak with confidence to other heads of departments to plan how we move forward with an aligned vision.

I have been able to apply the leadership tools I learnt to re-shape my department; using personality profiles within my team, and new coaching techniques to up skill team members. I can honestly say that this course has helped build my reputation as a leader within the company and I am very thankful for the opportunity!”
