The CMI Level 5 Coaching and Mentoring Programme is underpinned by current theory and practice, focusing on coaching fundamentals; what effective coaching and mentoring looks like and drawing links to the achievement of goals.
The programme is highly self-reflective and will help individuals to develop a better understanding of their own strengths, weaknesses and the influence they can have on others. Participants will gain an insight into their role in building a performance-focused culture and how to maximise internal resources to build high-performing teams. - Group coaching practice 4 (Coaching Board or Action Learning)

The CMI Level 5 Certificate in Coaching and Mentoring
Assessment
The CMI Level 5 Certificate in Coaching and Mentoring is designed for practising middle managers and those aspiring to senior management to develop coaching and mentoring skills. It helps people to identify the links between management coaching, mentoring and achieving business goals.
Participants will be required to complete three 2,500 – 3,000-word written assignments. Each assignment requires taught theory to be applied to the organisational context:
- 5014 – Introduction to Management Coaching & Mentoring
- 5016 – Using Coaching & Mentoring Skills as a Manager
- 5017 – Coaching Practice & Theory

As part of your course fee, you are given free and unlimited access to post-classroom tutorials. These are organised monthly and run by CMI-qualified tutors to help guide learners through the assignment writing phase.
