University of East London Partnership

As a collaborative partner of the University of East London, In Professional Development offers a wide range of courses to support students who wish to develop further skills in the workplace and contribute to the growth of the company by fortifying their position in the business with a better understanding of leadership, finance, strategy and marketing. Working in partnership with the Royal Docks School of Business and Law and the School of Education and Communities, allows us to offer flexible postgraduate qualifications that are validated by the university and underpinned by academic rigour.

Advanced Management Accelerator Programme

The Qualification:

Following completion of the 5-day Advanced Management Accelerator Programme, you can go on to further study by opting to complete the Postgraduate Certificate in Management and Leadership that we run in collaboration with the University of East London (UEL). This qualification is a broad, evidence-based, and insightful general management qualification designed to help develop those from middle-management to C-Level. It is a comprehensive organisational management programme and will provide you with:

  • The tools to enhance performance and decision-making skills
  • Enhanced organisational and personal impact as a leader and The ability to coach, mentor and develop colleagues
  • Cutting edge project and programme management insights, based on the Agile methodology
  • Core capabilities as a change manager; structural and psychological considerations for change management
  • An understanding of the value of developing and interpreting good data to inform strategic decision making

Eligibility:

To be eligible to study at Level 7 you will need to already hold a senior leadership position and be actively looking to further develop your management and leadership skills. You may also hold a middle management position with aspirations for progression to senior leadership.

The Assessment:

In order to complete the Postgraduate Certificate in Management and Leadership students will be expected to complete the following modules:

  • Leading and Managing Projects and Programmes
  • Leading and Managing Organisational Change

Each module is assessed by a 6,000 word work-based critically reflective essay or report. This is a distance learning course and you will receive support from an academic assessor as well as having access to university resources and dedicated support from In Professional Development’s Quality Assurance Team.

Strategic Leadership Programme

The Qualification:

Following completion of the 5-day Strategic Leadership Programme, you can go on to further study by opting to complete the Postgraduate Certificate in Strategy and Leadership that we run in collaboration with the University of East London (UEL).  This is an organisational leadership programme that draws on established general strategy and leadership theory and models and allow learners to gain:

  • An in-depth knowledge of the role of leadership and management capability within organisations
  • The ability to use enquiry to develop leadership and management capability, and overcome day-to-day challenges, in a diverse workforce and in an emerging digital and global economy
  • The skills to apply a range of tools to engineer business improvements to benefit their organisation
  • The skills to coach, mentor and develop individuals and teams within the organisation
  • A critical understanding of the differences between strategic and operational thinking
  • Strategic business planning concepts; examining analytical and creative concepts
  • The ability to critically evaluate own leadership identity as a strategic leader
  • The ability to design and manage a change plan to implement organisational strategy and to critically reflect upon this process
  • An in depth understanding of the business environment and influential factors
  • The ability to assess and appraise a range of strategic leadership and management theories to inform best practice
  • Deriving value and market share from research and insights

Higher Education Leadership Programme

The Qualification:

Following completion of the 5-day Higher Education Leadership Programme, learners can go on to further study by opting to complete the Postgraduate Certificate in Senior Education Leadership that we run in collaboration with the University of East London (UEL). The Postgraduate Certificate in Senior Education Leadership is a broad, evidence-based, and insightful general management qualification designed to help develop teachers, Middle Leaders, Senior School Leaders, Head Teachers and CEOs. This programme will allow you to:

  • Understand the leadership, learning and policy context of leading change
  • Develop the innovative implementation of change in a learning context
  • Understand the key concepts, theories and practice of leadership, and cognitive leadership approaches
  • Develop personal theories of leadership using mentoring effectively

Eligibility:

To be eligible to study at Level 7 you will need to already hold a senior leadership position and be actively looking to further develop your management and leadership skills. You may also hold a middle management position with aspirations for progression to senior leadership.

The Assessment:

In order to complete the Postgraduate Certificate in Senior Education Leadership students will be expected to complete the following modules:

  • Leading Change
  • Reflecting Upon Leadership in Education

Each module is assessed by a 5,000 word work-based critically reflective essay or report. This is a distance learning course and you will receive support from an academic assessor as well as having access to university resources and dedicated support from In Professional Development’s Quality Assurance Team.
