Our Partnership with the University of Chester
In Professional Development are delighted to be an academic partner of the University of Chester. For the last 3 years we have been working closely with the University to design, develop and deliver highly interactive programmes that offer an optional Postgraduate Certificate.
The partnership between In Professional Development and the University allows us to bring innovative, engaging and industry relevant programmes to the market. Our programmes carry the academic quality and rigour expected from high quality executive programme but are uniquely designed and delivered around the demands, pressures and challenges that face busy working professionals. Our unique and flexible approach makes it easier than ever to access expert programmes and gain post graduate qualifications via the University’s Centre for Work Related Studies.
The Chester Centre for Work Related Studies
The Chester Centre for Work Related Studies (CWRS) specialises in opportunities for busy practitioners in work, who want relevant learning and impact in their workplace.
The centre recently received a commendation by the UK quality body, for its radically flexible and high quality negotiated work based learning framework. The enabling professionals to customise their own qualifications, ‘learn through work’, and enable rapid accreditation of commercial training provision.
The CWRS is part of the business school at the University of Chester and we work with the team here to validate our postgraduate certificate programmes such as the Directors Development Programme, Executive Mini-MBA Programme, the Non-Executive Directors Development Programme and the Executive Education and Professional Development Programme.

Progressing your Practitioner Development
Upon completion of your Postgraduate Certification, practitioners can undertake further study on the Work Based and Integrative Studies (WBIS) programme with Chester University to top up their credits to a full MBA/MA/MSc qualification.
