Chartered Management Institute (CMI)
The Chartered Management Institute (CMI) has been operating for over 70 years and is the benchmark professional body for standards in leadership and management. Submit an application with the acronym ‘CMI’ amongst the details and you’ll have the attention of any organisation that’s recruiting new management professionals or is looking to promote existing members.
The CMI started up following a realisation that, despite the existence of professional bodies for functional activities, there was no formal body for general management development and accreditation. The absence of a professional institution to promote and evolve the development of various aspects of management and leadership led to the formation of the CMI.

The Chester Centre for Work Related Studies
The Chester Centre for Work Related Studies (CWRS) specialises in opportunities for busy practitioners in work, who want relevant learning and impact in their workplace. The centre recently received a commendation by the UK quality body, for its radically flexible and high quality negotiated work based learning framework. The enabling professionals to customise their own qualifications, ‘learn through work’, and enable rapid accreditation of commercial training provision.
The 30% Club
In 2010, the 30% Club was founded by Dame Helena Morrissey and has since evolved into a global mission with chapters in 14 countries/regions.
The 30% Club believes that gender balance on boards and in senior management not only encourages better leadership and governance, but diversity further contributes to better all-round board performance, and ultimately increased corporate performance for both companies and their shareholders.
Their aim is to develop a diverse pool of talent for all businesses through the efforts of its Chair and CEO members who are committed to better gender balance at all levels of their organisations. Business leadership is key to their mission, taking the issue beyond a specialist diversity effort and integrating it into enterprise-wide strategy development.
They run a number of very specific and targeted initiatives that look to broaden the pipeline of women at all levels of organisations. They work in partnership with business schools to offer a range of leadership courses to their members, and we’re delighted to be working with them.
